Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is the highest decision-making body of SEM Jobs with Justice. Every sponsoring union, religious, and community-based organization sends representatives to the Steering Committee. Though organizations may send more than one representative, each affiliate is allowed only one vote.

Decisions are made by simple majority, typically at the quarterly committee meeting (check the calendar to find the next meeting). The committee can call a special meeting if a simple majority of affiliates agree. It also elects an Executive Board to carry out decisions and policies between Steering Committee Meetings.
